2024-2025 Morton HEAT
Morton Heat Basketball provides Morton area boys and girls the opportunity to learn and practice the fundamentals of basketball in a structured setting and to experience basketball at a competitive level against other teams their age.
Ages
Morton Heat is for all boys and girls 3rd - 6th grade interested in playing travel basketball.
When & Registration
Tryouts for Morton Heat Basketball are September 7th and September 15th for the 2024-25 season.
Practices will then be held starting the week of October 21th, 2024.
Games are then started in mid November and will run through the end of February.

Where
All Morton Heat tryouts and practices will be held in one of the many great gymnasiums at Morton 709 School District. Of course, travel games in other communities will be held outside of Morton.
Practices
Each Morton Heat team will be scheduled for two practices a week. Dates, times and locations will be announced once we know how many teams we will be fielding this season. We do our best to accommodate all our teams as much as possible.
Games
The amount of games each team plays will vary but you can expect around 25 and up to 30 max. Games are typically ONLY held on Saturday and Sunday's.
Jerseys
Each player for Morton Heat MUST purchase their own reversible travel jersey bought. Information on where and how to purchase this will be sent out soon. Also, players MAY use jersey from previous seasons, as we continue to have universal uniforms through all our teams.
Players are also asked to purchase a reversible red/white practice jersey to have available at practices.
COSTS
We maintain all efforts to keep costs down to play travel basketball. For the 2024-2025 season player fees are $120/player plus uniform costs (for new players or returning who need a new jersey and/or shorts)

Winter 2024-25
Morton HEAT Travel Basketball is for boys and girls in 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. All participants in Morton Heat Basketball MUST live within the Morton Park District tax district.
Details: Season runs from Mid September (Tryouts) to the end of February.
Prices: $120 ($3 Credit Card Fee) Registration Fee to be paid by 9/26/2024.
New players must purchase your own UNIFORM and it is optional for returning players. More information on uniform ordering will be provided in the season welcoming letter but this will be a separate payment that will need to be made payable to Morton HEAT and mailed to;
